My name is Shara Cooper

I was born in Alberta, on the Canadian prairies, but for the adult portion of my life I have lived largely in the neighbouring province of British Columbia. In my pre-children life, I travelled a fair amount and lived in Chile for a year and Japan for around 1.5 years. You can read more about me at my personal website.

I love cooking and have a strong interest in traditional food production. Perhaps in another life I would have been a food historian.

It’s my belief that food sustainability will become critical in the near future and that combining old world knowledge with innovation will help build self-sufficient communities.
